If you never hear from me again, here's why

And another one bites the dust.

We have yet another employee gone on long-term sick leave, for an "indeterminate" length of time. I believe the word "indefinite" may have been used, as well.

So that's another 40 hours a week we need to fill in.

I am about to kiss my life goodbye. The few weekends I had free in December are now toast (it's just a matter of time before it'll be official), and it looks as though I'm going to be cancelling about 90% of my social activities for the next four months or so.

On the plus side, I'll be making a lot of money in the next little while. I won't see any of it until January, but that's not the end of the world.

Navigation strip woes

Okay, I'm having weird issues with my LJ Navigation Strip. I have it set to show up everywhere I go, but when I click other people's entries, not only do I lose the Navigation Strip, but in entries that are viewed in the default LJ style (as opposed to the custom style of the journal in question) I don't even get the LJ menu bar anymore.

Anyone know what's up with that?

A little too prosaic

I sometimes wonder if I didn't break somewhere along the way, in an undefinable fashion. Either that, or I've got the heart of a romantic with the brain of a pragmatist.
