A question about brunch

Okay, so I've noticed lately that, my own absence aside, not many people have been showing up for brunch lately. This makes me wonder if, well, the brunches haven't served their God-given purpose, and whether it's not time to either call an end to it, or maybe just give brunch a makeover, or put it on hiatus for a while. Something.
Given that I'm not the only one this would affect, I decided to make a poll. Have at it!

I like it as a low-key event, though.

Date: 2005-06-28 02:32 am (UTC)#1. The price. Eggspectations is very expensive when compared to other breakfast places, and I am on a tight budget. I'd love to get to it more often, but that's limited by when I have $10 to drop on a small breakfast. Could we shift to a more economical place?
#2. Mobility. This is an issue that affects me only, but I'm now in a wheelchair, and will be until October at least. I'd need a drive if I were going to make it, or at least someone to help me with the chair in the metro. Any volunteers?

Date: 2005-06-28 06:02 pm (UTC)Like the other times I was there, I'll be there when there is a convenient reason for me to be downtown afterwards; otherwise I can't see myself making a regular outing of it.

Date: 2005-06-28 09:09 pm (UTC)Unless it becomes a full day outing, I'm not able to justify the huge amount of time and effort it would take to make it to one of these.
Also, someone above mentioned price. I can readily believe it being in a prime location in the core.
