I never read that comic before, but it's very sad. Was there any indication of this in the previous strips? I went and read a few of the previous strips and didn't notice anything.
I remember just breaking down when Farley, the dog in For Better or for Worse died. Isn't it wonderful and odd how we can get attached to fictional characters?
No, it's totally out of the blue. Fred, her husband, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and he was going to tell her but chickened out and now she's dead and wah!
