I am *such* a Daddy's Girl...

I forgot to mention that he bought me Bloodletting (the Concrete Blonde CD I've been drooling over for two weeks) at lunch today.

Daddy's Girl? Moi? *innocent look*

I didn't ask for it, he offered to buy me a CD, and being a selfish little brat I accepted.

Now I'm determined to enjoy it and not ask myself stupid existential questions about whether it was morally right to accept that kind of gift now that I'm supposed to be independent and financially responsible.

Hon - no issue! You're making a gift for your mom, right? She's financially independant from you, right? It gives people joy to give gifts to those whom they love, so in a very real way, you did your father a favour by allowing him to feel that joy. Besides - this way he gets to feel like he's taking care of his baby girl in a way that's got to be a lot less annoying than invading your apartment and criticizing your choices. :)
