A little better
Feb. 8th, 2009 07:24 amI succumbed to the tired and went to bed around 19:00, read for a while, then fell asleep about half an hour later. It doesn't help that I've started reading Kushiel's Chosen, which has me completely riveted. I feel as though I'm eight years old again, pleading with my mother to let me read "just one more chapter" before bed, except that now I have to lay down the law myself. Of course, at one point my eyes just wouldn't stay open, which helped in my resolve to go to bed early.
I got a bit of tidying done when I got up this morning, and even did some reading too. Part work and part play. I still have a good deal of tidying to do before
ai731 gets here, even if she never sets foot in the house. For one, it needs to be done, and for another thing, those cat pans aren't going to clean themselves. If I don't clean them, then I'm pretty much guaranteed to find some interesting "presents" left elsewhere in the place, and who could blame the cats for that?
In the meantime, I'm going to make coffee and try to unglue myself from the futon. I have about two hours before we're off to the seed exchange, which should be plenty of time to do a minimal clean-up, even if I don't feel like doing it. It's times like this when I really wish that cleaning got done magically, all by itself.
