I'm home...
Sep. 6th, 2004 01:45 pmIt's Labour Day. So I'm home. That means next week's paycheque is going to be *very* slender indeed.
*sigh*
I'd forgotten that I don't get paid for the statutory holidays until I'm made a permanent employee. Of course, I'd be working if I had a choice, but since I don't I may as well just tighten my belt and wait for it to be over.
Also, I'm really sick and tired of living in this place. I swear, if I find one more infestation of weevils in my dinner, I'm going to do something dire. :P
I was going somewhere with this post, but have lost my train of thought.
Speaking of trains, started Bridge on the River Kwai yesterday, which was far better than Spartacus, but was too damn fried to watch it to the end. Came home instead. Will rent it and watch it another time. Blast. Now thoroughly regret watching Spartacus because it made me too tired to watch a better movie the next day.
Different post coming in a few minutes, since I don't want to mix my genres. ;)
