Wishing I weren't so bloody overtired

It's just so hard not to take everything personally, or not to take everything to heart and let it sit there and gnaw at me like a hungry dog at a bone.

It's also really cold out there, which isn't helping any.

*sigh*

It's just so hard to deal with stuff right now. Let's just say the "fight or flight" instinct is tending towards the latter these days. Just want to crawl into a hole with my arms over my head and wait for the storm to pass.

Needless to say, I'm not much of a believer in "tough love."

Is it possible to have a mid-life crisis at 24?

I never thought so until now, but I'm not so sure.

Too many thoughts going through my head all at once, none of them good. Trying to figure out where the hell my life is going, if it's gong anywhere at all. Haven't accomplished a damned thing, and I'm 24 years old. Keats was already dead.

I should be content with being average. In fact, I'm ever so slightly above average, so I should be elated, right?

I remember seeing the movie "Amadeus" when I was about nine or ten, and I cried at the end because I felt sorry for Salieri, because I knew what it was like to be him. To know what it is that you lack and will never have. Ignorance is bliss.
