Crap

I hate insomnia.

Haven't not slept during the night in months. Not since last February in fact. Bleargh. I'm going to be such a wreck tomorrow. God help any clients who're bitchy with me... ^^;

Tried taking a long hot bath. Drank hot milk. Am still awake. Blast.

Am supposed to be up in two and a half hours anyway. Am torn between trying to get a minimal amount of sleep or just toughing it out. Not sure yet.

Ooh! firewillow's online! Forget sleep. I'll go spam her...

I am now at work

A scant five hours after I posted, and about three hours after I finally fell asleep. You do the math. :P

However, in the ten or so minutes I've been online, not a single solitary client has called. I think they felt the ill wind and have thought better than to call and bug me right now, lest it cost them their dignity and perhaps their lives.

I am going to start looking into better jobs than this one. It's fine and all that, but there must be something more rewarding out there.

This is a post for people who actually know how to do coding and/or customisation for LJ

I need a favour, folks!

I want to do two things for my LJ:

1- I want to put a banner-type thing at the top of my main page with text in it. How do I do that? Just a box with text in it and maybe writing in a different font.

2- If I want to create a customised mood theme, do I have to use only the words provided by LJ, or can I make up my own words? One of the reasons I don't use mood icons is because they don't have enough words in the current mood section to suit me. ^_-

Hmm... pointless ramble

I got up at an ungodly hour this morning, and had to drag myself out of bed because 45 minutes of sleep is not enough by anybody's standards.

Got into car and drove over to Poms' apartment to get the stuff he'd left for me and to return the odds and ends he'd requested I give back. I was going to go tonight, but had the presence of mind to check my email last night and realised he'd be back by now, so I went in the morning instead.

Turns out that on top of the two presents he gave me last Friday (a small stuffed parrot and a 2003 Farmer's Almanac) he decided to get me another present, which was a pair of slippers. Am going to take them at face value and write him a nice thank you card and not try to find an underlying motive even if there is one. Hah! *kicks subtext viciously in the nuts*

His birthday is next week, so I will presumably reciprocate in some way. I think he already has a 2003 Almanac, so that blows that idea right out of the water. ^_- Will have to think of something else.
