... when you essentially have nothing to say. I'd love to be one of those bloggers who can write long and intelligent essays on whatever subject pops into their minds, but I'm not, so there seems little point in wishing it were otherwise.

The problem is that I don't lead an exciting enough life to warrant updating every day. Since the last time I updated, for instance, all I did was work (and even if that was interesting, which it's not, I can't talk about it anyway), then sleep, then get up and shower and pack my bags.

Exciting, am I right?

It's easier on days when I'm home. On those days other things happen, Bean does funny stuff (I really need to start noting these things, so I can have them for posterity), we go out and run errands and go to birthday parties and generally lead a more adventurous existence.

I don't know. For people still reading this (and I know there's a handful), is there anything in particular you'd like me to talk about? Maybe I just need prompting, a little bit like fanfiction. Anyone? Bueller?

Anyway, it's time for me to finish packing in order to head back to Montreal. I shall conclude with another fannish sentiment: I am developing a wholly inappropriate crush on Peter Capaldi. I hope that his Doctor Who commitments won't keep him away from The Musketeers, which is proving highly enjoyable so far. Is it me, or are English-speakers WAY more obsessed with Dumas' story than the French? It's perplexing.

Fanfiction! Tell us the story of how you became a BNF.

It's sweet you think I'm a BNF. I am nothing of the kind. I am slightly infamous in a small corner of fandom. :)

My enthusiasm remains undimmed. Tell us the story of how you became slightly infamous in a small corner of fandom! :-D

I'm a non-blogger too. I don't know how folks find things to talk about EVERY DAY. Go to Yahoo.com; their 'front page' has a smattering of 'news' stories. Maybe one of them will jog some conversation...

How do people do it? It boggles my mind.

I know, I'm completely out of ideas these days too!

Let's see, what to ask...are you fully bilingual, or is French something you have to work at? (probably a stupid question given where you live, but oh well. As I said, I'm stumped these days.)

Ooh, I shall try to devote a post to languages, then. Good topic!

I struggle with this too, though I don't think that what you post about is boring at all. I like reading your posts on how you're working at using time better and getting more done because it encourages me in my own attempts. :)

I meant more about when I run out of topics like procrastination to talk about. Then what? "Today I went to work, then went home and slept. The end." ;)

I shall try to find more interesting things to talk about!

Maybe you want to revise your blogging commitment from "every day" to "every day off", in order to free up time and have more things to write about (but if you're doing that, then directly reallocate the committed time, say to other writing--don't just drop it, or even pick a lightweight enough substitute that you can believe that you're somehow failing or cheating, lest your self-esteem issues assail you with renewed fury and vengeance).

I understand what you're saying. In this case, though, a daily commitment is good for me. Writing on my "off" days is actually harder than on work days, because of family commitments.

I'll just have to either come up with more interesting subject matter, or subject my readers to some rather short and rather boring posts on those days when I find I have nothing of importance to say. ;)
