Since the new friending meme, I've seen people linking to "about me" posts, that go into incredible detail about their lives, their family, their personality, their beliefs, their values, their hobbies, and a host of other things.

I had something like that in my LJ profile for a while, but then it became so horribly outdated that I deleted it, and never bothered to write a new one. I'd promise to do that, but it would very likely be a lie, or it will take me another five years to get around to it.

A quick word about content, and how I deal with trigger warnings )

So, anyway, now is your chance to ask me about stuff! Want to know about my religion? How I feel about body issues? My taste in music? My extremely important opinions about frogs? Go for it! I will answer to the best of my abilities in the comments, and then if I'm on the ball I will link back to my answers in the body of this post. Kind of like a comment-fic meme, only without the fic. ;)

[livejournal.com profile] the_xtina, I'm looking at you. ;)

So, you know how you can view all entries with a particular tag, right? What if I want to view entries using two tags as keyword (for lack of a better way of expressing it)? See, it's rare that my entries only have one tag. Usually there are two or more. So, supposing I'm looking for an entry I remember tagging "work" and "rant" and "random" (for example), I don't want to just search for "work" because that'll net me six-billion entries to look through.

How would I go about doing that? Is it even possible?

Thanks!

Hey, I got sort of meta-quoted! [livejournal.com profile] the_xtina has adopted my labelling of SAD as Seasonal Brain Gothiness. She even made a tag for it.

I am oddly gratified.

I'm not a bona-fide geek, but I play one on T.V.

I've just gone through the most recent entries on my LJ to add tags, just because.

L and I also just spent about an hour and a half or two shifting the contents of twelve filing cabinets into four larger filing cabinets and four smaller ones. I'm going to feel this tomorrow, I just know it. On the plus side, I found a file that I thought had gone missing permanently.

Spent all of last night practicing for the Pride Parade. I think I might not make a complete idiot out of myself, and thus am looking forward to it immensely. Mind you, even if I thought I'd make a complete idiot out of myself, I'd still be looking forward to it. Just, you know, not sucking at the dancing is a nice bonus.

:::bops:::

Dear Brain,

There is nothing to panic about. Trust me. No reason to panic whatsoever. Please shut off the sirens and quit hitting the shiny red button all night long. It got old a long time ago. I miss sleeping.

Still no love,

Me.

In other news, I finally got the car organized. All filters changed, oil changed, all fluids otherwise checked and organized. Oh, and new brakes. Apparently I needed brakes. Handy things, those, for when you want to stop. Needless to say, that was a bit of a wallop, financially speaking. On the plus side, if anyone now wants to take the car off my hands, I can tell them that it just passed inspection and has new brakes.

Yowch.

More random news you need: I have to get poor Smudge shaved, I think. Or at the very least a serious trim. He's become Clumpy!Cat with all the humidity, and no amount of brushing or grooming has helped. I'm not looking forward to taking him anywhere, because he hates the carrier with the burning hatred of a thousand fiery suns, and screams and squalls and throws himself around and generally carries on like a wounded tiger. For a six-pound cat, he's definitely a handful. Still, this needs to be done. I don't think I could do it myself, even if one could shave a cat with plain old electric clippers (which I don't have). I think he'd protest, to put it mildly.

Yet more randomness: Can someone explain how tags work to me? I'm intrigued by this new feature, but I'm not sure how to use it, nor what to use it for. [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha, maybe, if you have a moment? You seem to be all over this like flies on honey. :)

This icon was nicked, with permission, from [livejournal.com profile] worldmage. I really want to see The Dark Crystal again, now.
