A Saturday Entry
Feb. 9th, 2008 09:33 pmI almost never post on Saturdays, even when I'm posting regularly. However, since my goal is one post every day this month, I shall break myself of this habit of non-posting. :)
Today was an unproductive day from a getting-things-done perspective. On the other hand, I slept in, which was entirely accidental but apparently overdue. I awoke at 10:30 instead of the planned 8:00, and as a result didn't do any of the "useful" things I was going to get done in the morning. The Paternal Unit was very kind and came to fetch me so I could have breakfast with him and the Maternal Unit, whom I hadn't seen since last Saturday, and likely won't see again until much later this week. Unlike many of the people I know, I truly enjoy spending time with my parents, who on the whole are very nice, clever, well-adjusted, fun people to be around. They have their quirks and eccentricities, naturally, and we do rub each other the wrong way at certain times and about certain topics, but on the whole we get along very well.

forthright, curtana, sorceror and gats, and I had a splendid time. The in-game plot is moving forward and has been gaining momentum since last session, and there has been a good amount of character development, which is always my favourite part of the game. I am now two sessions behind in my write-ups of the session, but with any luck I'll be able to catch up before the next game, which will be (we hope!) in two weeks' time.
I then had dinner with the Parental Units, who have been kind enough to lend me their car for my grocery shopping tomorrow. I have lots of heavy stuff to buy, and so it will come in very handy indeed. I have yet to look into CommunAuto, but something tells me I should probably get around to that soonish.
Tomorrow is looking to be pretty packed. I have to do my grocery shopping, do some minimal cleaning around here, and generally run some errands in the morning. In the afternoon,fearsclave and his lovely non-LJ-using wuh-mun will be in town visiting with ai731 and baronscartop, and they have invited me to join them, which I predict will be lots of fun. Still, it's looking to be quite busy all around.
