I've just spent the last four days in a very frustrating training session for the Police Records and Occurrences System. If I have to hear the words "that's just how the system works" one more time, I will scream. Also, when I took my online exam today, the "submit" button malfunctioned and destroyed my test results, so I have to go back and take the exam again. This was in spite of my best efforts to make sure that the data wouldn't be lost, as the same thing had happened to another girl five minutes before. So I asked the instructor to make sure I'd done everything right before hitting "submit" and I still got screwed.
Bah, humbug.
Don't worry, I still like my job. I'm just looking forward to the time when I will have all my passwords, access codes, and exam grades, and not be subjected to administrative BS on a regular basis.
Not too much to report otherwise. Good things are happening outside of work. Friends, theatre, birthdays. Perhaps when I have energy this weekend I will write up a longer post. :)
