Seriously, though, the woman should just hush and let her books speak for themselves. There comes a point where you have to let go, and discretion is the better part of valour and so forth. I realize that's probably not as easy as it sounds, with people constantly pestering her with questions, but still. If it was so important, maybe you should've just put it in the book, eh?
Personally, the declaration doesn't change things for me either way...however, when I saw it on the news, I just had this huge sense of "isn't this just pointless?".
