Okay, it's definitely not a bruised tailbone. I am off to the clinic in 45 minutes or so, and have been praying for this moment for several hours now.

So I got home last night, to more excruciating pain... and found that I was bleeding. Heavily. And not from a spot from where one is supposed to bleed, ever. Eight hours later, still bleeding.

I can actually feel a swelling, or some sort of growth there the size of a golf ball (I'm pretty sure that it's pressure on this which is causing the extreme pain). I'm hoping it's something stupid, like a cyst or (God help me) hemorrhoids (but Dr. Google tells me my symptoms aren't right for that). I really don,t know what it is. I'm out of my depth, and therefore going to see a professional.

I'm still in lots of pain, and I think eight hours of bleeding qualifies this as Extremely Not Good™.

Gah.

Good lord. I'm hoping it's just a polyp or fluid cyst of some form; please do post with an update when you have one. Would you offended if I said a misheberach (prayer for health and fast healing)?

I will post an update as soon as I can. Of all the things that could possibly go wrong with me, this would be on my top five of things I don't want. Seriously, I don't feel like going to a doctor I don't know and having to explain exactly what my symptoms are. :P

Oh God. I hope it's a cyst or something equally not dangerous. Even with strange and alarming symptoms, non-serious conditions are always more common than serious ones... I'll be sending good thoughts in your direction.

ouch, that sounds horrible. It does sound like a cyst or polyps, though, which are easily taken care of.

(the crazy thing is...it's the worse things that don't hurt)

nonetheless, definitely not fun. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that this is over soon with the least amount of pain/hassle/embarrassment!

That is scary. But I think it may be something not too serious, I hope. If you did bump your tailbone at some point it could have caused an abcess or cyst somehow and hopefully that is all it is. *hugs*
