Day off, sort of

I decided to take this morning off. No cleaning, no groceries, no errands. I have been watching Season 7 of Stargate, made myself a smoothie for breakfast, and am now making tuna casserole to take with me to work. With any luck it will last me until the end of the week in leftovers. I'm pretty sure it will, as it happens.

Either tomorrow or on the weekend I shall head out to Canadian Tire for canning paraphernalia, and I shall embark on a new and exciting adventure of learning how to can my own stuff. Yay apple butter! Or something. :)

Gotta go check on my water now.

You can freeze a lot of stuff too. I froze a zillion pounds of apples last year and they still hold up pretty will in my baking.

Do you have access to a bbq? I saw a neat puree (you freeze it) that starts off with grilled plum tomatoes.
