So
karine tagged me for the following meme:
RULES: List 10 things you're grateful for today. Tag ten other people.Or five. Or two. Or nobody. Just get your head out of your problems and think about what's awesome for 5 minutes!
You could list 10 things every day if you wanted to; this list is just what you think of at this MOMENT. Don't put too much deep thought into it. "I'd like to thank the Academy..."
I am grateful for:
1- My new job, which pays well and lets me live a relatively stress-free existence, as I'm now making enough money to make ends meet and not worry about my bank balance at the end of the month.
2- The fact that my cats are all happy and in good health and think I'm the best thing since sliced bread.
3- A working internet connection. Sure, I can survive without the internet, but it lets me keep in touch at least nominally with the people I care about.
4- My parents, who love and support me even though they occasionally drive me nuts. They have agreed to watch "The Princess Bride" with me next weekend. I'm excited. :)
5- The fact that I am (usually) able to write quickly, eloquently, and well.
6- The fact that I am, overall, in good health and able to enjoy my life to its fullest.
7- All my books. I love having good books around for when I need them all.
8- My friends. I have fantastic, wonderful, generous, supportive, loving, creative, talented, and all-around marvelous friends. My life would feel very empty without my extended family.
9- Having a safe place to call home, warm clothes to wear and good food to eat, especially these days when it's freezing out there and there are so many people who don't have all of these things, and sometimes none of them.
10- My slippers. I'm ending on a silly note, but I really like my slippers. I'd never realized what a difference having warm feet can make, but now that I know, I am never going back.
:::ETA:::
If you want to do the meme, consider yourself tagged. If not, well, I promise not to come over and burn down your house. ;)

Since the standard threat didn't apply in this case, I had to change the wording. ;)
