*runs in circles*
Dec. 18th, 2006 11:59 amMy weekend, while lovely, was too crammed with Other Stuff for me to get any real cleaning done. Suddenly the holidays are looming (I use the term "holidays" loosely, as I shall be working throughout), and I still have two rooms to de-clutter and make presentable for company. Oh, and re-wash all the floors.
Can we say "panic" boys and girls? I thought we could.
My parents are lending me the car for the holidays, for reasons which escape me somewhat (I didn't ask for the car, for the record, they spontaneously offered). While this will help in the long-term, today it kind of borks my plans, as it means I have to run out the door practically immediately to go fetch it and be at work in time for, well, work.
Tomorrow I'm seeing the little man from Paradoxe to plan both Capricornucopia and the upcoming Invisible/Random Colour gig. He and I don't seem to speak the same language over the phone, so we agreed to meet in person to hammer out the details. Things which seem self-evident to me are beyond him, and he keeps asking questions to which I don't know the answer. More to the point, he asks questions that I don't understand at all. I'm hoping in-person communication combined with body language will resolve this difficulty.
In the middle of all this I have to somehow manage to get to Omer DeSerres, and to buy my parents' Christmas presents. Ack!
I'm pretty sure that I'll be spending most of the 23rd on my hands and knees, scrubbing as hard as I can. I want this place spotless before December 31st, for two reasons. 1)
joane and
shenlo are coming to visit, and I don't want them fleeing in horror, and 2) I want to start the New Year with a completely clean apartment (unlike last year).
I am *so* close to being able to turn a new leaf, so to speak. I'm employed, I'm cleaning, and I'm well on my way to (finally) not having money problems. I figure, if all goes well, I should be worry-free financially by the time March rolls around. Yay!
2007 is going to be one hell of a year. I can feel it.

Date: 2006-12-19 01:51 am (UTC)Many folks on my friends list have had their lives take turns for the better in the last couple of months. Its very heartening.
