It's Christmastime, and that means the stores are stocking eggnog again. This makes me a happy camper. I love eggnog. I love Christmas, actually. Every aspect of Christmas, except maybe the rampant commercialism. Even that I can mostly tune out. I like seeing all the pretty lights come out, and I enjoy the cheesy Christmas carols playing tinnily over loudspeakers in the street.

I love the cold air, I love the snow. I love putting up Christmas trees and decorations and lights, and watching little children get excited about Santa Claus. I like trying to figure out what kind of presents to give to my parents and to the few members of my family to whom I give presents every year. Even if my brain chemistry hates this time of year, I really like it.

Did I mention I really love Christmas? :)

I am in the process of cleaning this place, which I have mostly neglected since... well, far too long. It's not nearly as bad as it was this summer, but it's not good either. So instead of killing myself to clean the way I did this summer, I'm going at it a little bit at a time.

Tomorrow morning I will be washing the dining room floor.

I spent part of Saturday afternoon cleaning up the kitchen. It is now spotless and sparkling, except for the floor, which I will wash at the same time as the dining room floor, seeing as how they're essentially the same floor. I am very proud of my kitchen. It's very, very clean, and all the dishes are done.

Once the dining room is clean, I will spend the rest of the week putting the living room in order. The week after that will be devoted to my bedroom. It probably won't take me all that time, but I'm giving myself some wriggle room.

Did I mention I have eggnog?

I am a very, very happy camper right now, although I am quite tired.

I figure I ought to know by the end of the week if [livejournal.com profile] miseri has managed to infect me with his chicken pox. I rather hope not, as it would put a serious damper on my Christmas and work plans.

Well, thanks for the information! :)

Yer welcome. On the plus side, I believe it's highly unlikely that you would have caught it - didn't [livejournal.com profile] miseri's rash not appear until Saturday night? So if the last time you saw him was the previous Sunday, he was *probably* not infectious then, or at least not very.

Yeah, that's what I figure too. Still, better safe than sorry.
