It's National Novel Writing Month! The challenge is to write a 50,000-word novel in thirty days, starting November 1st at midnight and finishing at midnight November 30th.

It's a very good way of unblocking some of the creative juices. You give yourself permission to write stuff that isn't perfect, concentrating on quantity instead of quality for a while, until suddenly you find yourself producing tons and tons of fiction!

It's lots of fun. The madness continues!
