Just kill me now...

This is getting ridiculous.
I wasn't in the office ten minutes before things started going to shit. Again. Rescheduled four clients, called several more with politely threatening messages ("pay up or we don't do the work for you"), and was told to reschedule at least six more. Then I spent ten very frustrating minutes with the carpet installer ("What do you mean, you're not going to do the carpet you said you would do?").
Now everyone's in a complete flap about payments and bypassing the system we have in place, which means I'm in the dark about which payments have been processed and which haven't, although everyone seems to think I'll still magically know even when I'm not told what's going on.
Jesus H. Christ.
I can't wait for this week to be over.

Date: 2006-10-16 02:52 pm (UTC)Just think - at the end of today there will be only four more days. And then each successive day will lessen that count until magically, as of Friday closing time, you'll be on vacation! And as of Monday they'll have to handle all the minutiae you've been juggling for the past month. Ha.

Date: 2006-10-20 03:20 pm (UTC)I feel for you...
Date: 2006-10-16 03:19 pm (UTC)I've been thinking. In the last few months, I've been working on my own, as a sales/HR consultant, specialized in employee recognition programs and training. At first, I was thinking it'd only be a small contract before I find a new job, but it's making me think more and more seriously about trying to make my own business...
Since we both have had a certain amount of job-related unluckyness, I'm wondering if there wouldn't be a way - if that would prove interresting at all for you - to collaborate?
I don't know, just a thaught! Give me a call if you think it interresting!

Date: 2006-10-16 03:22 pm (UTC)I think it would be worth discussing, at the very least. Email me at mousme at livejournal dot com with your phone number, and I'll give you a call. We'll have coffee or something. :)
