Okay, so it's Sunday night, but I'm well within a 24-hour time limit, so I figure I'm okay.

I've been feeding Saash and Grimshackle this weekend, since the Baron and Baroness (that would be [livejournal.com profile] baronscartop and [livejournal.com profile] ai731 were out of town. They should be back any minute, actually. While Saash still hides under the table when I come in ("Fuck you, you're not Mummy!"), I am pleased to report that Grimmie has warmed to me considerably, and no longer flees as though being pursued by an army of kobolds. We even had a nice cuddle on Friday evening when I came in.

And now I shall drop LJ names like it's going out of style:

Spent today with [livejournal.com profile] curtana and [livejournal.com profile] forthright and met the heir apparent for the first time. They're both in fine fettle ([livejournal.com profile] curtana is looking especially good these days —motherhood appears to suit her), and young Arthur is not only a very handsome baby, but he was also quite well-behaved for most of the day. By the time evening came around he got a bit tired, and dinner was something of an issue (his grandmother helped out there, which was very nice), but on the whole he's an admirable young man. Soon he'll be old enough to roleplay. Mwahahahaa. We were joined by [livejournal.com profile] miseri, [livejournal.com profile] sorceror, [livejournal.com profile] the_lich and [livejournal.com profile] gats (though he came much later, after work).

So the day was spent catching up, swapping old gaming stories, and generally having a good time. We ordered Chinese food, and[livejournal.com profile] gats brought cherries, which was a pleasant surprise. Actual gaming comences in three weeks' time. I am greatly looking forward to it. Also, [livejournal.com profile] curtana and [livejournal.com profile] forthright's new apartment is really quite a nice place: it's pretty large, has lots of natural light, and the linoleum in the kitchen is blue.

In anticipation of not having the car in about two months' time, I am slowly re-acquainting myself with Montreal's public transit system. I know certain parts of it well, mostly the metro, but I have to learn about new bus routes now that I and so many of my friends have moved around. I rather like the public transit system, for the most part, even if it does take me three times as long to get to some places. I can sit and read (unless it's rush hour), and it's cheaper than having a car, and I don't have to stress about parking.

Now, since my load of laundry appears to be done, I shall head to bed. G'night!

Oi! You!

Oh, uh, yes. Quite! July 29th-30th, expect me mid-afternoon on the Saturday (unless I make other arrangements, in which case I shall let you know well in advance), and I shall be departing Sunday afternoon around 4pm or so, since I have to be in town in the evening for the Pride Parade. I'm in it, you see. :)

Excellent. Any objections to me inviting peraps Steve and Julia and 'Mu, too?

Of course not! The more the merrier, right? Bear in mind that Steve and Julia have a level-1 human that accompanies them most places. :)

Yup, am quite aware of their progeny. Am looking forward to seeing how he does with the 'hawks.

So I guess the Saturday would work better, BBQ-wise?

Yeah, I think that's prolly a better bet. Any word from 'Mu? Anyone else coming?

I think Arthur is a bit too small for the 'hawks. Wait until he can at least walk before beginning indoctrination. ;)

Speaking of which, would you mind re-sending me your contact info? I seem to have misplaced it somewhere. Y'know, snail mail, phone number, email, all that good stuff.

brunelle_d at sympatico and so forth. :)

I'd appreciate it. :)

Erm... July 30th would be the day I was thinking of starting my game. Is it going to be a problem?

Shouldn't be, depending at what time it's going to start and end. I can always leave the Godforsaken Howling Wilderness a little early to be there for the game. My one scheduling glitch for that day would be that I have to be at (I think) Papineau metro station for about 7:30, if memory serves.

After consultation, yes, that should be a good day for us :) What time, and how do we get there? Dogsled? ;)

I'll likely be spending the night (the stars are gorgeous out there —no light pollution to speak of). If everyone is amenable to this, you and [livejournal.com profile] forthright and Arthur can catch a lift up and back with me. It might be a little cramped if Tamu is of the party, mind you...

Then again, you can always follow me in your own car, or else [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave can provide his own, err, imaginative directions to his place. ;) Actually it's pretty straightforward to get there: I only ever got lost once, when it was pitch-black outside and I couldn't see any of the landmarks.

Well done.

Me and Grimmie's mum apparently failed the kobold test.

Okay, for three minutes. Then his belly said, "Go upstairs, birdbath!"

Thanks.
