Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday! There were too many of you to thank individually, which is really, really cool. :D
My father gave me Monty Python's The Meaning of Life on DVD for my birthday, and then watched the first twenty minutes or so with me. I definitely am a fan of The Crimson Permanent Assurance, but the rest was pretty funny too. I'll have to find some time this weekend to finish it. I'd forgotten how funny John Cleese is.
Today I'm calling Collège Montmorency to find out if they still have any space available for the emergency dispatch course in March. I shall be putting money aside every week in order to pay for it. Feel free to remind me, as I'm not very good at that sort of thing.
That's another thing I'll be doing this year, is revisiting my finances in a serious way. I've been slowly but surely creeping my way out of financial badness since I had no job nearly two years ago now, but I seem to be the queen of financial setbacks.
So, this year is also the Year of Financial Responsibility. That's going to start with, hopefully, minimal savings, as well as finding a job that pays better, and paying more attention to where I spend my money. I live on a pretty tight budget as it is, but I think it would behoove me to pay more attention to the details of what I'm spending and when.
Meh. I hate dealing with money.

It can be manly in insurance, we'll up your premiums semi-annually!
It's all tax-deductible, we're fairly incorruptible, we're sailing on the wide accountancy!~
(or accountant sea, as you prefer ;)

Date: 2006-01-06 10:01 pm (UTC)No, really. Julia picked this as the song to represent Biggles in her tape for the Changeling campaign. When Steve pointed out that it's kind of short, she said "so's Biggles!"
