On a completely random note...

Part of me wants a ferret.

The part of me that's wholly impractical, that doesn't take into account the fact that I live in a 3 1/2 with four cats. I suspect it's the bit I inherited from my mother, the part that convinced her that fostering a baby ostrich might be a good idea.

I think it's because I've been writing about Flash Gordon (the name of the psychic ferret) a fair bit in my novel of late.

Oh well. It's a nice fantasy.

If you ever do want to keep ferrets, I can talk with you about them. We've had them for 7.5 years now and I've done a bit of research.

Yeah, that'd be neat. I'm curious about ferrets anyway, even if I never own one. :)

I had a beautiful albino ferret that I kept in a small 2 1/2 apartment along with a cat and two rats when I was 18 or 19. Also my roomate when I lived in Toronto also had a very well trained ferret. She had it trained to not climb on furniture, only eat ferret food, and use a litter box. Mine wasn't so well trained. It ate anything rubber (like bath plugs), climbed and burrowed everywehre, and had a passion for Durango coolers (?!).
