That means one more day left before the weekend. *bounce*
Lesson learned this week: paranoia produces wordcount.
Heard back from the nice little man at Mac 911, and it is indeed the logic card that bit the dust. I shall be calling Apple Customer Service later on. Fun.
This weekend shall be devoted to band, rest, and wordcount, not necessarily in that order. I haven't exactly had a restful month, and this past week pretty much put me over the edge. Time to put myself in "safe" mode and try to recover.
I am singularly uninterested in working today. It doesn't help that I'm working on what is possibly the single most boring and frustrating tasks in my job description, which is a form detailing all the previous month's expenses. It is time-consuming, tedious, and often makes no sense. I also have the sneaking suspicion that no one really follows up on it once I've finished, and so it vanishes into some liminal space between files somewhere, never to be seen again unless someone audits us. :P
Anyway, I heard from my temp agency that they may have another job in mind for me, so I have to call them on my lunch break to get the details. The woman working on my file hinted darkly about it being too long to explain if I wasn't on break, or whatever. Anyway, I'd be replacing a woman on maternity leave, but it's possible she won't want to come back to work after that, so it would become permanent. *shrug* I don't even know what the job is right now, so I'm not holding my breath. We shall see.
