Okay, so it was a reprieve

Cleo started having Plaid Screen of Death issues again this morning. It seems that last night was just some Computer God smiling down on me long enough for me to retrieve some of my stuff.

I'm at my parents' now, having an argument with my mother's computer, which suddenly wants passwords for everything. Since my parents are in France, that means I'll have to wait to get some of the bells and whistles (like Yahoo!Messenger) that I've become used to.

Also, I don't like my mother's keyboard. It's kind of sticky. :P

However, the good news is that I was able to save my NaNo novel. Sadly, a lot of other stuff looks like it was corrupted in transit, so I haven't saved everything. Boo.

Anyway, don't expect many updates from home for a while, at least until I get the computer fixed.

Congrats on novel-saving! ...think the same thing can happen to a character? You could probably get another 2000 words out of it, no?

Also, if there's anything I can do, please let me know, k? Coffee, moral support, computer, beer ... :P
