Hi-ho, campers!

Since this is the third time in as many days as this has happened, and because I love you all and want to read your journals, I have a small request.

If you do one of those quiz/memes things with nifty graphics? Especially with graphs or whatever? Could you cut-tag them please?

They seriously bork my friends page. In fact, they do that for many people.

If you don't want to, it's not like I'll hate you forever or anything, or stop reading your journal. It would just be a nice gesture on your part, and spare me some hassle and annoyance. :)

Thank you!

Amusingly enough, I was just rejoicing to see that you've posted because it means that the huge URL someone posted on my f-lish has scrolled off, and my format is no longer messed up. Hurrah!

Yes indeed, those recent quizzes were very borky. Quite.

Yep I quite agree, I find them incredibly annoying.

Not only that it makes it difficult for me to sneakily have a read at work when I scroll down checking my friends page and big bright pictures scroll onto screen isntead of text :(

A cut-tage is a nifty html-type thing for LiveJournal which hides your entries, or parts of them. You click on a link to see the whole thing.

In order to create one, you use html brackets and write the following (I'm using different brackets): [lj-cut] Your entry here.[/lj-cut]

Your cut tag will read: "Read more" by default.

If you'd like it to say something else, then your tag should be formatted thus: [lj-cut text="Look! I say something different!"] Your entry here. [/lj-cut]

I don't know how clear that was. I'm not very good at explaining coding stuff.

Quite clear my dear. I was wondering how everyone was doing that "Read More" thingie. Excellent. Thank you.

Yeah that kind of thing drives me bonkers. I solved that problem by changing the setting to not load big graphics. It's seriously a relief, you might want to try it.

Yeah, I've already got that setting, but it doesn't seem to work for some quizzes, weirdly enough.

Really? Damn. I've only seen one or two things slip through the cracks.
