*anxious wibble*
Nov. 7th, 2005 03:58 pmPan-Pan isn't doing well.
I got home and found him walking all weird. A little stiff, and almost as though he's having trouble with his back legs supporting him. Yes, he's gained weight, but this is sudden. He keeps walking around and suddenly sitting down. Even then, he sits awkwardly, as though something's bothering him. Right now he's sort of crouched in the living room, not moving and looking kind of put-upon. It's not like him at all. Usually at this time in the evening he likes to sit on the fridge, which makes me think even more that he's done something to his back or his legs or something.
I don't know what it could be. If it's arthritis, then why didn't it flare when it was so much colder a few weeks ago? If it's a UTI, it's manifesting oddly (no inappropriate peeing or anything). I had to break up a vicious fight between him and Smudge this morning, wherein Smudge decided for no apparent reason to beat the living crap out of poor Pan. Smudge got sprayed by the Bad Kitty Bottle and then some, let me tell you. So maybe he sprained something? I don't know.
Poor boy.
I can't take him to the vet until Friday, if it turns out to be necessary. I'll be watching him like a hawk this week to see if it gets better or worse or what.
For those of you brand-new to my LJ, Pan-Pan is one of the Four Feline Forces of Entropy, my second-oldest cat, the gentlest and probably the least swift mentally. He's in the icon on this post.

I shouldn't write anything prior to morning coffee.
