I knew how it would end
Sep. 15th, 2005 01:34 pmI finished the first season of the crack to which t! introduced me last week. I knew, logically, how it had to end.
The bastards strung me along right to the last minute. I kept thinking "Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe she won't die." Right up to the last minute. Bastards.
The traitor made perfect sense. I never saw it coming, after the first episode, but it made perfect sense. And damn, but that woman speaks good German. Love the accent.
Nina has beautiful eyes. *siiiigh*
Mason kills me. The best scene ever was watching him and Bauer in a field. Jack vaults over the fence, all nerves and energy and aiee! Mason gives him a look halfway between pity and disgust, walks over to the gate, pushes it partway open, and gingerly steps over the low chain. The perfect demonstration of the difference between their personalities and their way of doing things. Mason thinks ahead, Jack charges without pausing. Mason gets farther ahead generally, but is hampered when split-second decisions need to be made.
Beautiful.
The murder-cover-up subplot got on my nerves. Well done, but annoying. Possibly because the son was the least sympathetic character in the entire show, including the terrorists.

Date: 2005-09-15 06:01 pm (UTC)I so loved Season 1's ending. I was sad to see her die, but it was done so well. And of course, it totally hooked me on to Season 2.
Welcome to the club!
