I don't know whether to use my sheep icon or one of my geek icons for this. Oh, the dilemma! The Angst!

Modern, Cool Nerd
82 % Nerd, 65% Geek, 47% Dork
For The Record: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd. Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eeked out for themselves a modicrum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)! Congratulations!

I don't know, I think this fits.

The way I interpret this, a geek is only smart in a specialized area. A nerd is smart in lots of things. This means you are smart in a specialized area AND in lots of things. You probably know more about that specialized area, but you know lots about stuff in general. AND, you aren't socially retarded, like me!

Well, I fake my way convincincly through most social situations. That's almost the same as not being socially retarded. I was conditioned to it early by my mother, who needed to show me off at parties. ;)

At least you know how to fake it. I just crawl into a corner and listen and watch.

Best way to learn. I'm also not very good in really large groups. I tend to fade into the woodwork at that point.

The key is to listen to the other person in such a way that they leave convinced that you both talked a lot. ;)

I am often told I am a good listener. Consequently, I get to hear EVERYONE'S problems. The things I know about my coworkers!

I am worst around people I don't know. Get me in a group (large or small, it doesn't matter) of people I don't know and you won't hear much out of me. I am very uncomfortable in that situation. I will also stick close by the person I do know (gotta know SOMEONE, else why would I be there?) This is why I rarely go places where I only know one or two people.
