Saturday's practice

Hola all!

Just a quick note to say that this weekend features the two Community Days for Pride, and I'm scheduled to volunteer both days.

However, I will be trying to escape in time for band practice on Saturday. I just wanted to warn you that I might be late. I know Karine won't be there, and didn't someone else say they couldn't come this Saturday?

Will someone be bringing a cell phone with them to practice? That way I'll be able to call in case something dire happens.

There is totally something in the water. I didn't realize until now, about eight hours later, that I posted this to my own LJ instead of the community.

I will also not be at practice this weekend. I will be in Halifax, likely madly shopping for a birthday gift for my father.

I can bring my cell phone. Can't guarantee that there will be any reception in the middle of that concrete block we rehearse in, though. I take it this means you won't be driving from home, and that I should make my own way to practice?

Not at all adverse to doing Pride things; but starting a Saturday that early when I don't absolutely have to isn't really going to happen :)

Heh. I just wanted to say that I think the band icons are really cool. From the icons, it looks like you and owldaughter are the contemplative members, or did the artist just read you wrong? I also noticed that yours is the only icon with the Random Colour title not wrapped around to the right hand edge. Two things: When you start getting famous, don't let some record company make you change your name; it's very cool. Also, you've got to work those icons into the album cover. ; )

Never mind about the not matching thing...I just looked up the others that aren't shown on this page (there are five of you, right?) and there isn't a convention on the title arrangement. Still cool anyway.

I think we all have our contemplative moments. It's just hard to make a cello look active. :)

I think the artist (who happens to be the singer in the band) was looking for a visual contrast to the other icons, not necessarily reflecting personality.

They are cool, aren't they. We love them. Karine's really talented.

Yes, but it's easy to make a percussionist look active, but she didn't do that, either. She is talented. So I have seen! mousme has a link to her on her icon page. Like I said, you should incorporate those icons into your first album cover. Heh.

Y'know, I missed that fact first time around. It wasn't until I went to the RC community to post a time to pick up Jan, and couldn't find the original post, that I realised it was your LJ.
