I don't wanna go to work!
Why is it only Wednesday? It feels like it should be Thursday. I'm not kidding. The last two weeks have felt like this.
I need a new weekly format. One which has only four days in it.
Didn't get new icons done, but posted kick-ass joint post to Bluebook instead. God, I love this game!
Excerpt from "The Papatheadorakos Pocket Encyclopaedia of Dinosaur Identification"

She stopped suddenly, letting go of the radio, and held absolutely still, all her nerves on edge. She'd heard something rustling in the woods off at about eight o'clock. Something big. Very slowly she turned her head and began looking for the source of the sound. It took a moment, but once she saw it she was amazed she hadn't spotted it before. Them, rather. Her heart began to hammer in her chest, and she reached very slowly for her radio again.
"Uh, DP?" she said, very quietly. "Let's play 20 questions again. I have... I don't know. I think four or five of them... I can see one pretty clearly... It's about six or seven feet tall, with big-ass claws, and I don't even want to think about its teeth. It looks kind of bird-like. It's holding its foreclaws upside-down. Standing upright. It looks very, very carnivorous to me. Exactly how screwed am I?"
Demetrios was very quiet for a brief moment as he thought carefully. When he spoke again, it was in a very low whisper, made tinny by the little speaker.
"Can you see its feet? Big sickle-like claws?"
Kay swallowed hard. "That's about all I can see right now, to be honest. Jesus, those suckers are big... I take it I'm really screwed, then?"
"Yeah.... pretty screwed." Demetrios said back. "Can you climb like a motherfucker? 'Cause you'd better move fast."
"I'll get back to you on my climbing skills. Delaney out."
She let go of the radio and, her sprained knee forgotten, lit out for the tallest tree she could see as though all the demons in hell were on her heels.

Date: 2005-06-08 01:16 pm (UTC)I always seem to write my best stuff when it's for this game. Somehow, when the pressure's off (when I'm writing, as opposed to Writing), it all flows better.
Go figure. :P
