Talk about a week of ups and downs.

Psychotic bosses, fantastic dates, the end of Perseity (aiee! teh b1tt3rsw33t!), and so much else.

It would help if I hadn't been living this week as though it were one day later since Monday.

:::facepalm:::

If Perseity weren't tonight, I'd be desperately wishing for it to be Friday right now.

Okay, random question for friends list people: name your favourite flowers, or at least flowers you think are really fantastic. I'm feeling flowery today. :D

I love irises, myself. And lilies! Just not the white ones - they're used for funerals.

Gerber daisies
sunflowers
calla lilies
orchids
birds of paradise

.. I'm one of those people who is a friend of the florist. who will look into the fridge straight past the carnations and roses (unless they are interesting colours) and to the weird ones in the back saying "oooooh, what's THAT ONE!"

Well, I've never been -offered- flowers, so I have no big experience there, but you asked, so ... ;)
I love plants and flowers. Can't afford fresh ones, so I have cheap cheezy plastic ones. But I love the color they provide. And I seem to be able not to kill my plants too bad.

I like simple wildflowers the most. Many small flowers on the same stem, daisies, . I love "Baby's Breath". A nice big country bouquet is just lovely.

Another seasonal bouquet I like is the Spring flowers. After the long winter, "jonquilles" (the English name escapes me right now" and tulips in other colors then red are lovely.

I second the wildflowers... forget-me-nots, violets, mayflowers...

I miss my mom's garden :(

I know there are other 'cut' flowers that I like, but I can't think of them :o

Lilacs, especially, and sweet peas. Also lupins, but just to look at - they're not so good for picking.

I like fragrant flowers - carnations and pinks, catalpa tree blossoms, buffalo current, honeysuckle, sweet autumn clematis, old-fashioned roses.

Oh, clematis, I'd forgotten about those. We had one climbing a trellis in our garden back when we had a house. It was lovely and fragrant and my father adored it. It was his baby. :)

Freesias. Absolutely. And especially a huge bouquet of deep reds, burnt oranges, and deep yellows, with some white thrown in for effect. Gods, I could lose myself in the scent.

Of course, the spring-colors like white and purple and pale yellow are nice too, but there's something about the deep-coloured ones that really appeal to me.

And second to that: wild roses. Mmmm. Nothing like the cultivated ones at all.

I love wild roses! My grandmother's place is surrounded by them and in the summer when they bloom it's all you can smell.

I like regular roses too. I love the scent, which is totally different from rose oil or the scent of the dried petals.

Morning Glories are some of my favourites, too. And bleeding heart. And wild tiger lilies. And lots of the ones from Halifax that no one's ever heard of, like yellow rattle and swamp candles (which don't sound great, but are lovely).

Oooh, flowers. I love flowers in general, but I think my favourite has to be morning glories.

*sighs*
