Easier said than done...
Oct. 27th, 2004 08:31 amI'm late for work, but I want to make at least one small post.
I'm really sick and tired of people screwing up my paycheque. I barely survive on what I make now. Would it really kill them to get their math straight? *grr*
Also, they've decided in their infinite wisdom that, finally, I don't get paid for statutory holidays, so they docked that on my pay as well.
*sigh*
In theory, this Friday is my last day of official temp time. After that, my supervisor should decide whether or not to keep me. Only I've found out that he could turn back the clock, so to speak, and even if I was on the company payroll, I would still have to wait a three-month "trial period" before I was given any kind of insurance. It would be like the past four and a half months never existed.
I'm hoping he doesn't do that. If he does, I'm half-tempted to just say "Screw this shit," and leave, except that I don't want to be jobless again, and I actually like my work, other than the bullshit I have to put up with from him.
Anyway, in other news, I need to go to bed earlier. This is going to be a problem, since most of my friends are online late, and NaNoWriMo is coming up and it's always easier to stay up to finish a wordcount in my case than it is to get up early to get it done. Normally I'm a morning person, but the kind of hours I have pretty much guarantee that getting up before 7:30am is not going to happen unless I have to be at work.
More tonight, I guess. Gotta run!
