1) If you could meet any person from history (assuming language & communication were not an issue), who would it be, and why?
Just one? *pout*
Socrates. First of all, I'd want to make sure that all the words and philosophy Plato put in his mouth were his, and after that I'd just want to sit and talk for hours with the man. He is the founder of philosophy as we know it, after all, but he wasn't above discussing and debating and figuring things out as he went.
2) Of all your RPG characters, who's the most like you in real life? How so?
That's a pretty tough question. I put a lot of myself into a lot of my characters, but none of them are really *like* me, especially since they tend to be in entirely different universes. :P
I guess it would be Shannon Flynn, my Incarnate character. The musician-turned-Ventris-institute-agent. Shy, doormat Shannon, who eventually sort of came out of her shell and married a psychopath. I liked Shannon a lot, and I invested a lot in her emotionally. I think that her psychological makeup was the closest to mine, although not exactly identical.
3) Of all you RPG characters, who's *least* like you? How so?
I've made a few conscious choices lately to break away from what I perceive to be my own personality in the characters I play. I would say that Hermenegildus Frankenbauer is quite far removed from me in a lot of ways, although he and I share a certain number of ideals and values. On the other hand, he is prepared to manipulate others to a degree that I am not, and he is extremely at ease in the world of politics, manoevering behind the scenes, dealing with people, and generally making himself well-liked by everyone.
Adoración was a schemer and completely selfish, prepared to go to great lengths, even murder, to get her own way. I'd say she's as far removed from me as you can get, really.
4) What personal qualities do you most value in other people? (Optional addendum; what do you find most unattractive?)
Oddly enough, I like seeing in other people what I myself lack: straightforwardness, honesty, and the capacity to know what one wants in life. Ideally this would be tempered with tact and discretion, but you can't have it all.
I can't say that I value these things most, because what I value most in other people changes according to what I need from them at any given moment.
I can't abide people with no sense of humour, for one thing. It's not what I value most, but it's a condition sine qua non, if you follow. In other words, it's not the first thing I look for, but if, once I look for it, it's not there, don't expect me to stick around for long.
5) If you could go to visit one tourist attraction anywhere in the world today, where would you go?
Does Prague count as a tourist attraction?
