Yes, gentle readers, today is spam day. Phnee is procrastinating instead of doing useful stuff like cleaning.
I have, however, washed my hair and put in a load of laundry. This is news you need, of course. ^_-
I have also taken breaks to pet the kitties. They have been suitably grateful for the attention.
I am still trying to summon the energy to grab a green garbage bag and do what FlyLady would term a "27 Fling Boogie" in the Living Room. The principle is to throw away 27 things which need to be thrown away. I generally get carried away and throw away far more than 27 because I always have more than 27 which need throwing away, but it's a good thing to do.
The cats have managed to knock down a surprising amount of stuff too, which I couldn't quite bring myself to put back in its place. This is Very Bad™ all around, mostly for my morale and for the look of the place. So that should be my main mission: to get the living room back under control. The rest of the place is slowly but surely coming together. It's just the living room that looks like Bosnia in the mid-nineties. ^^;
Does anyone in Montreal know a good furniture fabric store? I have four dining-room chairs that desperately need re-covering. I just need some good but relatively inexpensive fabric with which to re-cover them.
I'm picking up
lux80 from work at 5:30 and then we're going to dinner at an Indian restaurant with Prospero's Daughter. Yay! I like Indian food, even though I'm a wuss about spicy food. Well, my mouth is. *sigh* I'm so "white bread" it's not even funny. Oh well.
Okay. I'm going to go get a green garbage bag and at least *attempt* to do something useful in the time I have left.
In other news, my mother gave me Brothers In Arms by Dire Straights for Christmas, as a sort of memento of our trip to Connecticut (we listened to Dire Straights (eponimous) almost all the way down) and it rocks my world.
