I missed the time for taking out the garbage again, which means waiting until next Tuesday, because they're not coming this Friday. Lazy bums. ;)

Oh well, at least I got some sleep.

I don't know if I can "catch up" on two months or so of lost sleep. I don't think it's really possible or really healthy. Still, I did get to bed at about 10:30 (after everything was said and done) and got up just before 11:00 this morning. Pretty good, all told. Nearly twelve hours of sleep. I haven't done that in a very long time.

In fact, my parents ought to be back soon from their trip to the country to see people they didn't want to see but whom they had to see for the sake of propriety or something. They were both bitching about it something fierce over the weekend. Hope they're in a good mood. I may see if they'll feed me today. I haven't gone food shopping yet, so the contents of my fridge are as follows:

-Four slices of Kraft cheese (the singles things which aren't very good)
-Half a jar of apricot jam
- A quarter of a pitcher of indiscriminate fruit juice made from frozen concentrate
- baking soda

Yes, I'm embarrassed. But not too embarrassed to put it online. ;) Especially as I'll eventually be remedying that situation by going food shopping.

My cupboards are a little better: I have three Knorr soup packets, two cans of Campbell's soup, a can of peas, a can of corn, and two packages of Kraft Dinner (as well as flour and sugar and a few spices and salt and pepper and some peanut butter).

My main problem is that I've run out of bread. With bread I can use some of the above as sources of nourishment. ;)

Goodness. It's nearly 3pm and I still haven't posted this. Oh well. *posts*

I don't know if you've ever read the book Orlando by Virginia Woolf, but the title character in that novel periodically announces that he/she is "going to sleep," does so for a week straight, and wakes up in a different era ... and usually a different sex.

I often feel as though I'd like to sleep for a week. I wouldn't be so fond of the other effects Orlando had to deal with, though :)

I did indeed read that book. It's fantastic. If she were still alive, I'd so have a love affair with Virginia Woolf, if only so that she would read her novels aloud to me. Orlando is my favourite one so far, and I'm reading Between the Acts right now.

Oversleeping can be as bad as undersleeping. Just get regular hours, it should all balance out.

Soup is food. You can even add some of the other stuff in soup to liven it up. Apricot jam, fruit juice, baking soda soup. Go for it! ;)
