I bought myself a copy of Man of la Mancha. I can't really afford it, especially not after I (and my mother) bought new clothes yesterday.

Nonetheless, I've wanted this for a long time now. Three or four years, in fact. I've waited long enough, I think. It might even inspire me to read the book which is sitting on my shelf.

Had lunch with [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave, who brought back my lost knitting pattern. Am pleased. Had lost it at El Shack after Bigfoot, and the store had no more patterns of the sweater I was making, so I was faced with the prospect of unravelling all my work (about twenty-five hours' worth) and finding a new project for all that expensive wool. So, good news all around. :)

I've had a few ideas for my NaNoWriMo novel in the meantime, so I'm excited now. *bounce* Won't say more for now. After all, I'll be rambling about it enough in my filter come November. If you want to be on that filter, btw, and haven't already said something, do send me a smoke signal or something. ^_- If I know you're doing NaNoWriMo, I've included you by default, so holler if that's the case and you don't want to be on the filter.

...

*sings*

I am I, Don Quixote
The lord of La Mancha
My destiny calls and I go
And the wild winds of fortune
Will carry me onward
Oh, whithersoever they blow
Whithersoever they blow
Onward to glory I go!

Okay, yes, I've always had a soft spot for Le Chevalier à la triste figure. :::blush:::

In other news, I've decided to try being more professional about this working-at-home thing. I want to set up a website (can anyone point me in the right direction of how to get a domain name and/or webspace which won't bankrupt me?), and possibly make a few business cards.

Otherwise, my circle of clients is a wee bit narrow for me to make a decent living off this. ^^;

:::wibble:::

I really like your-site.com for hosting - very few troubles setting up, only one issue with the mail server. And since I have other mail servers anyway... it didn't matter. All my techincal problems should matter so little. :)

Anyway. Yes. Your-site.com. Not free, but worth it. (Hey! I even invented you a slogan!)

Totally different subject: since you're busy Thursdays, are you also busy Mondays? Gotta find day for next FVLMINATA...

You could try fateback.com for a free host that has *gasp* no ads. Its all done through FTP uploading (which bites, because I'm used to using Angelfire's editor), but there's 60Mb and the domain name is pretty short (http://americanfey.fateback.com (http://americanfey.fateback.com)).

I can't remember if they offer email to go with it, since I didn't really look into it too much because I've already got email addresses coming out of my backside.

To dream...the impossible dream
To right the unrightable wrongs.
To bear with unbearable sorrow,
To run where the brave dare not go...

To right the unrightable wrong,
To love pure and chaste from afar,
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star!

Ah.....did practice piano for that play in high school. The person playing Don Quixote had lots of fun during his final death scene.
