Attention, writers!

I'm going to go stick my head in the proverbial noose this November and participate in NaNoWriMo.
Problem is, I suck, and I mean suck at coming up with original ideas. My best writing has always come forth during writing contests in which we were given a theme or a quote or something around which to build our stories. I like having something to use as a springboard, and I like having well-defined parameters which I can play with and see how far I can stretch them before they break. :)
So, given that I know that a number of you are writers, and that a bunch of you who aren't but are good creative types, I was hoping you might throw some ideas at me that I might later actually form into a plot.
It can be anything you want. A sentence, a character, an idea, whatever.
Help? :)
