It never rains but it pours
Jul. 30th, 2003 01:55 pmI now have to factor in a number of new stressors in my life. Have I mentioned how much I don't deal well with any kind of stress?
1- I haven't heard back from the people about my job interview. I'm not panicking about that because while they told me they'd get back to me yesterday, it did seem like they weren't the epitome of organisational skills. Still, I'd like to know where I stand here. :P
2- I've somehow managed to get roped into helping Poms (some of you might remember him) get some kind of closure. More on that later, if the situation ever leaves email. *sigh*
3- I've been asked to do some translations for another professor on a different topic. This is good news but also means I'm about to triple my workload without actually knowing if I'm getting this other job, which could complicate matters a good deal.
4- The new job would only be three days a week, which is not enough to pay the bills.
5- The psychiatrist with whom I've been trying to make an appointment just brutally sent me packing. Well, his secretary did. Apparently psychiatry in Montreal works by sector, so I'm not allowed to go to him. Instead I have to go to my district hospital and hope their clinic will be able to maybe get me an appointment.
