Am not in mood to translate today. Will be bringing work home with me over weekend to poke at it a little from the comfort of my own living-room. Had almost forgotten during month of not working how much I dislike fluorescent-lit windowless little boxes. Not surprised I've had two migraines since starting to work here.
It's not a cubicle, but it kind of feels like one. All that's missing is the grey felty type material and the name tags. *shudder*
I think I'm going to go see Mambo Italiano tonight. Am on a major movie kick, and everyone else seems to be occupied with their own lives right now, so I'm amusing myself as best I can.
Ooh! Fire sent me a post! Yay! *runs off*
I'm also very tired, which doesn't help my motivation level one whit. I suppose it *is* my fault for not going to bed early yesterday, but bleh. Besides, this poncy little fellow I'm translating seems to get exponentially worse as I keep going. I'm doubly appalled, as it happens, because this text was supposedly written jointly by two people, and it still kind of sucks, stylistically speaking. I'd expect this kind of writing from a second-or-third year sociology student who's just beginning to understand how to use all those big words he learned in his Intoduction to Socio-economics course. :P
Also, why is it so hard for people to write convincing transition phrases? No, really? You'd think this was an impossible hurdle for most, the way people write these days.
Bitch bitch bitch. ;)
