I would be the last person to tell you that these sort of things aren't difficult, or that you're "overreacting" or somesuch. I know, first hand, how difficult maintaining relationships can be, especially when both of you think you're "on the same page" (in whatever respect) and suddenly realize that you aren't. I agree with those who have stressed the importane of open communication. It's not easy, and sometimes you won't like or be comfortable with the fruits of such conversations, but there's, arguably, no better way to make certain that both partners are well aware of the other's needs and position on matters.

Remember: everyone makes mistakes; you are good; you deserve love. The end.
