1. How long did it take for you to start hating your soon-to-be former job? And when did you start working there to begin with?
It took about seven months for me to start being bored, and another four months to really start hating it. That was in January.
I started working there on March 11, 2002.
2. Who's your favourite author? Any favourite books from that author's repertoire?
Gack. Too many good authors to choose from. Offhand, Les Misérables by Victor Hugo is right up there on the list: over 1000 pages of incredible insight into human nature (a slightly idealised version of it, I'll admit).
3. When did you realise you were gay?
Sometime in January. I forget the precise date. I had vague suspicions beforehand, starting when I was about 21.
None of this "I think that deep down I always knew" bullshit. Well, some people might have always known, but I've always been one hell of a confused little girl. ;)
4. Have you ever considered living anywhere else in Canada other than Quebec? And if so, where?
If I ever wanted to live somewhere other than Quebec, it would be in Prince Edward Island. It's got beaches and relatively few people, and red dirt. :)
5. What is your opinion on the Bloc Quebecois repeated attempts at a separation referendum?
Actually, I think you're referring to the Parti Québécois. The Bloc Québécois is a federal party whose mandate is to represent the interests of Quebec in Parliament. :P
Anyway. My opinion? *insert much rolling of eyes here* I'm a staunch Federalist, and while I'm all for the right of the people to choose their own destiny and blah blah blah, they've been beating this horse long since after it was turned into glue.
Give up, already! Less than 40% of your population will vote "Yes" to your ambiguously worded question! That means that no, you can't separate, dammit!
