Hee!

The Mahones rocked. They still crank up the volume far more than they should. Frankly, in such a small venue they can afford to go accoustic. I think April might have had a point when she said they do that to cover up the fact that they're not quite up to snuff sound-wise.

[livejournal.com profile] rotagar, [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave, [livejournal.com profile] fordcov and I all agreed that there is no situation that couldn't possibly be improved by the addition of a female red-haired fiddler.

She even has a great name: Fione. I mean, is that great, or what? Okay, so the red hair isn't real (she had auburn roots showing), it still looks great, and she's a hottie. I just wish I had got to hear her sing.

Screamed myself hoarse, to the point where my throat is still raspy and causes me to choke a bit today, but sadly not enough that I can realistically plead laryngitis and ask for clerical duties. Piss. Note to self: next time, scream more.

I'm hoping to get off work early today and maybe get in some gaming at [livejournal.com profile] forthright's, but I'm not optimistic. There was a mini-rush not too long ago, so that means that we need at least two more "green codes" before they start sending people home early. At least I'm only ninth on the list of "TOW" (Time Off Work), so if they start sending people home early I'm likely to be one of them.

In case anyone's wondering, I've been on hold for the last eleven minutes. This call is going to destroy my talk time for the day, as usual, and it's all the agent's fault because he doesn't know what he's doing. Ooh! Someone answered! Yay!

Anyhoo... The Mahones rocked.

I got to see April, whom I hadn't seen since November, which was great. Got a lift home from [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave, from whom we ought to be getting some befuddled and incoherent yet jubilant news later on. See, he was going fishing directly after The Mahones, getting about two hours' worth of sleep in his car beforehand.

Much fun was had, all being said and done. Got to see [livejournal.com profile] cymry and [livejournal.com profile] belfana again, which was nice, took many photos with the disposable camera I got at work as a thank you for being a Bell Mobility employee. I think I blinded everyone permanently with the flash on that thing, which frankly puts the USS Enterprise to shame.

There's construction going on in the hallway, and I must say I'm not reassured by the huge frikking red warning signs that read "DO NOT PASS THIS POINT: ASBESTOS." *twitch*

I believe the term is actually "red-headed fiddlewench".

*dies*

I can't believe I missed it!

It's like the bloody Polkaroo... (most of you won't get that reference, but that's okay)

No, the Polkaroo is harder to spot than a red-haired fiddlewench. Or maybe I just don't have a radar setting for Polkaroos...

i am in total agreement about the addition of red-haired (even dyed red) fiddlewenches. *drool* and it only makes it even better that she can sing... must go back again next time (though not tonight, i don't think i can sit in that booth for another 8 hours straight).

i've lost all feeling in my legs... *lol*

*grin*

I'm half-temped to go back tonight just to hear her sing (why did they keep her for the last set dammit?!?), but I don't think I'd survive that. ;)
