After a two and a half hour nap, from which I was only awoken by the phone ringing, otherwise I think I might have slept the whole night through (oops), I am back.

No longer feeling nauseated (thank you to all the word freaks who helped me out), so that's a plus. Am thinking it was likely due to missing my meds, as I was also feeling that bizarre feeling I get which is not quite dizziness but which I'd be hard put to explain: I feel it in my ears, although it's not painful, just as though there was a pulsing in there that's keeping me ever so slightly "off." It's weird.

Anyhoo, it's gone, mostly. Still having remnants, but nothing bad and I'm sure it'll go away soon.

I need to clean up the apartment, actually, because my parents' friend MM is coming over to bring Gretzky tomorrow evening, and I won't have time to come home after work tomorrow to do it.

I'm looking forward to having the new kitty cat, but it also means I won't be online much tomorrow evening as I work on New Cat Insertion Protocols. It ought to be interesting, at the very least. :)

The apartment, unfortunately, is just shy of being a pigsty. Nothing I can't handle tonight, but I have the feeling I'm looking at at least an hour's worth of cleanup. Meh. Boring.

Rambling cat story

I had lots of good intentions about introducing Jellica (incoming cat) to Koshka (resident cat) carefully by letting them smell each other through a door first, etc, but they got kind of derailed by visitors arriving on the same morning as Jellica, thus causing Koshka to hide somewhere upstairs and me not to be able to find her. Not a problem, I thought - new kitten was downstairs, original cat was upstairs, when we got Koshka she hadn't had the courage to try the stairs for about a week, containment fields operational.

Except, of course, that we'd just acquired the Kitten Who Is Scared Of Nothing, who pranced up the stairs and managed to find Koshka before I did. These days they'll sleep curled up together, but it took them a while to get there. :)

Hope Gretzky is very happy with you!
