Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] firewillow without her permission. :)

1. What color are your kitchen plates?

I have an assortment of plates, but the predominant them seems to be white with either green or violet flower patterns.

2. What book(s) are you reading now?

A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin, Dante's Inferno, and Manon Lescault.

3. What's on your mouse pad? I have a track pad at home and don't have a mouse pad at work (they're too cheap to give us any, likely because they get lost or stolen).

4. Favorite Board Game? Monopoly or Scrabble (although I'm not very good at Scrabble —don't play it often enough)

5. Favorite Magazine? Don't really read magazines. The New Yorker, I guess.

6. Favorite smell(s)? Mimosas in bloom, warm bread, anything cooking, that moment after a huge rainstorm when there's still lots of ozone in the air and the earth and grass have a special pungent taste to them.

7. Least favorite smell(s)? Cigarette smoke, cat litter, department stores

8. What is the first think you think of when you wake up in the morning? "Oh God, what time is it? Wait, what day is today?" It's sad, really.

9. Favorite color(s)? Navy blue, dark greens, purple to a lesser extent, yellow.

10. Least favorite color(s)? Anything neon.

11. How many rings before you answer the phone? You mean I have to answer the phone when I'm not being paid?

At work: 1 ring (I have no choice, the call comes in automatically).

At home: I don't answer as I'm usually on the internet. The answering service gets it.

12. Future child's name? I doubt I'll ever have children, so the point is moot.

13. What is most important in life? You expect me to answer this in a meme? You must be kidding. I'll let you know if I ever find out.

14. Of all the possible circles of Hell, which are you most likely to be assigned to? Circle 7, Round 2, Violence Against Self. It's a deadly sin to despair, don't you know.

15. Chocolate or Vanilla? Depends on my mood, but usually chocolate.

16. Do you like to drive fast? Meh. I drive as fast as it takes me to get where I want to go in the amount of time I want to spend getting there. Generally that's about ten kph over the speed limit.

17. Do you sleep with a stuffed animal? Not since I got two cats to do the work of the stuffed animals. :)

18. Storms - cool or scary? Most definitely cool.

19. What was your first car? My 2002 beige Pontiac Sunfire Sedan. We lurves our car, yes we does, precious.

20. If you could meet one person dead or alive, who would it be? I'm too indecisive to answer this properly. Today I think I'd like to meet Lauren Bacall, because she's just so fabulous.

21. Favorite alcoholic drink? Guinness!

22. What is your sign and your birthday? Capricorn, January 5th.

23. Do you eat the stems of brocoli? Yes. I didn't know there were people who didn't eat it until recently actually. Seems wasteful not to, since it tastes the same (like broccoli).

24. If you could have any job, what would it be? I'd love to run my own bed and breakfast, actually, or a bookstore. Something nice and quiet with minimal stress levels and where I'd mostly make my own hours.

25. If you could have any hair color, what would it be? I rather like my own auburn colour, even though right now it's dyed a darkish red.

26. Have you ever been in love? *sigh* I thought so, but now I'm not sure of anything anymore. Ask me again some other time.

27. Is the glass half-full or half-empty? Half-full, in spite of everything. I'm a goddamned optimist, which never ceases to amaze me.

28. Favorite movie? *twitch* Don't have a favourite. Many many good movies out there. Casablanca's right up there, along with To Have And Have Not.

29. Do you type with your fingers on the right keys? No.

30. What's under your bed? Probably some books, some errant socks, a lot of dust, and occasionally a cat.

31 - What is your favorite number(s)? 5.

32. Favorite sport to watch? Figure skating and tennis.

33. What is your single biggest fear? Bleh. Got too many to list. I suppose failure, if you really must know.

34. Favorite song? Again, don't have one single favourite. Blackbird by the Beatles is a safe bet, though.

35. Favorite TV show(s)? I'm kind of "off" television these days, especially as I don't own one. I've become accustomed to not watching anything religiously, and I don't think there's any one show I'd really go out of my way to watch these days.

36. Ketchup or mustard? Depends on the food, often enough it's both.

37. Hamburgers or Hot Dogs? Depends on my mood, but generally hamburgers.

38. Favorite Soft Drink? Am on a Diet Pepsi kick these days, but it's usually Dr. Pepper.

39. The best places you have ever been? Sardinia, Playa del Carmen, Chenonceaux.

40. What screen saver is on your computer right now? Don't have one. I had a Boromir screen saver on the computer that got stolen, though.

41. Burger Kind or McDonalds? Neither, unless I'm desperate or have a weird craving.

42. Do you know someone right now that you could fall in love with? Oh, sure. The possibilities are endless.

43. What did you do yesterday? You can read it for yourself here if you really want to know.

44. What's your favorite food? Ack! What is it with this insistence on picking only one thing?

45. Where do you see yourself in twenty years? I have difficulty seeing myself in twenty minutes.

46. If you had the choice of any superhero power to possess, what would it be? Healing powers would be good. More useful than any of the other powers.

47. What's the weirdest dream you've ever had? Good Lord. That's like asking which marble is rounder than the others... There was the dream involving the giant carnivorous slug which has stayed with me for a long time (I dreamt that one when I was thirteen), the one with mutant cranes and tractors, the one in which gigantic black marble hands burst through the concrete as harbingers of the end of the world, and there are others that I could presumably dredge out of my subconscious if I really wanted to.

48. Who is your favorite classical composer? Dvorak.

Mind if I pinch this? Normally I don't ask... But hell, I'm supposed to be working on being polite and non-abrasive :P

Go right ahead. You may notice at the beginning of my post that I stole it from someone else without asking. :)
