[livejournal.com profile] firewillow and I are proud to declare that auditions for [livejournal.com profile] aparecium_rpg are now open.

[livejournal.com profile] firewillow, being the absolute woobie that she is, has even made an Aparecium Website where you can get the audition sheets and read all about what we want to do with the game.

Let the games begin!

Nevermind =)

Yes, I'll have double double, and a vanilla shake, please.

How to play.

I have played in online RPG's before. But always online irc like Julie Diablotin game. How would we run this game? How would it work?
Also is there a place online when I could get more information on book timelines? I've read the books (some of them twice) but that was when the first came out. And I don't have copies of my own here in To. I'd also like to know a little bit more about Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff since they are dealt with less in the books.
Hope you can help.

Rob

Hmm.

Well, this is a far less structured form of roleplay. Basically, the momentum of the plot depends a lot on the players' own initiative and cooperation.

A LiveJournal roleplay involves 1) relating events from your character's POV in their own private LJ, and 2) "acting out" scenes between characters in the community LJ to let the other players know what's happening even if their characters aren't present.

For a concrete example, check out [livejournal.com profile] reparo.

For a complete Harry Potter timeline, there's the Harry Potter Lexicon, although I don't have the URL at work. A quick Google search should bring it up, though.

I think my detailed thoughts on Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff will have to wait until I get home tonight, but you can pose the question at [livejournal.com profile] sane_potter, or read a bit of the HP Lexicon, where they have articles and what have you on all things Harry Potter.
