Something about Dvorak
Feb. 2nd, 2003 08:21 pmI don't know what it is: that man's music brings me to tears no matter what kind of mood I'm in.
I love all kinds of music, and yet when push comes to shove I always come back to the American Quartet when I need to lose myself in music. Something about the long, searching notes in the second movement, the quavering longing in the first violin, it's just so achingly beautiful. It feels like it's wringing out my soul every time, distilling every tear drop I spill and bottling it in the crystal chambers of my mind.
*closes eyes and drifts*
