Here's to hoping the day gets better...

mousmeTurns out it's the next door neighbour who blasts music at ten at night, though yesterday I got treated to bluegrass instead of celtic music. Managed to get to sleep in spite of the music, though it took some doing.
I now live in Fort Knox. Correction: Fort Knox eat your heart out. There are bars on the windows, big horking pieces of metal to keep the windows shut too, and now there's a great big piece of wood keeping the back door shut.
According to my carpenter the policeman who investigated my apartment was full of shit. According to him my door was already broken, and the hinge never attached. So basically my apartment was a sitting duck due to shoddy building. See, the hot water unit in my apartment is so badly-placed that no door could ever be successfully installed without ripping out the entire frame and starting over. Then we'd have to find a suitable door, build a new frame, and replaster the wall. All for the modest sum of $1,800. *sigh*
Got woken up by Poms this morning, and although it was a bit abrupt (my phone is shrill) I would have been late otherwise, so it was a blessing. I still don't know what we should do tomorrow, but I'm thinking on it.
Driving to work I saw a black and white cat that had been hit by a car and was lying in a bloody pool on the street and I very nearly burst into tears. It just reminded me far too much of Pan-Pan, and I don't know what I would have done if either he or George had been hurt after that robbery.
*cries*
Anyway, the computer at work died three times on me this morning, which did have the advantage of making me miss the early-morning rush.
Oh, and in other news, I may, possibly, maybe, kinda sorta in the realm of the possible, be getting my computer either this weekend or early next week. *does a Cautiously Premature Happy Dance*
