Why insurance sucks, and other stories

mousmeWell, I got the news from my insurance company yesterday. I'm covered (for half of what the television is worth), but my deductible is higher than what I'm covered for.
Basically, I've been screwed on both ends.
The irony? If I'd been *properly* burgled, then it would maybe have been worth it. The SOB's who burgled me took enough to get their money's worth, but essentially I'm the loser on all sides.
Oh, and of course insurance won't pay for my doors. My landlord is supposed to take care of that.
Speaking of Frank, he called me last night. Said accusingly that he's been dropping by every two days (where was he on the first of the month when I was home?) and that I wasn't home.
Well duh! If he comes by at ten past five, of course I won't be home! Note that he never bothered calling ahead of time to see if I was there or not.
Idiot. *spits disparagingly*
Oh, yeah, and because yesterday was my day off I slept in and got a parking ticket for my pains.
So I had a good day, all in all.
