Bad Burglars Bereft of Booty
Sep. 5th, 2002 10:19 amI wish.
Well, at least they only got away with the television and the computer. They left behind a bunch of valuables (including my camera, a garnet ring and my printer), and a major mess.
I mean, is there any *good* reason to knock over a box of cereal and grind the contents into my carpet?
Not to mention ripping out the screen on my balcony door. It's my private opinion that they were too dumb a) to notice the door led onto the balcony rather than to the street and freedom b) to notice that they could simply turn the handle to open the door.
Somehow, the thought isn't that comforting.
Not to mention that it wouldn't have killed them to close the damned doors. Was it really necessary to make my poor kitten spend two days without food or shelter? He might've been mauled by a stray cat, hit by a car, tormented by schoolchildren, or just gotten hopelessly lost and become an alley cat.
Blah.
I just wanted to rant about it at least once.
If there's any sort of poetic justice in this world they'll drop the television on their foot, mangle their metatarsals and in the process ruin the television and their opportunity to make money. Hah.
...
Well, it was a nice thought while it lasted.
I hope my insurance pays for a new computer. That would be nice. :)
